 These are my seven items for my multicultural literature class final project 

  Prompt: At the end of the novel, Celie reconnects with Nettie and forms more peaceful relationships with the people who once harmed her. Reflect on the theme of reconciliation. Have you ever restored a relationship, forgiven someone, or been forgiven in a way that changed you? How does the novel’s ending shape your understanding of forgiveness across different cultures or families? Celie’s reconciliation shows that forgiveness helps people heal and move forward. I have forgiven someone before, and it helped me feel more at peace. The ending shows that forgiveness can be different in families and cultures, but it brings understanding and growth. The ending of the novel highlights forgiveness as a way to heal relationships. Forgiveness can be difficult, but it helps people find peace and move on.

  Prompt:  Write about a song that brings back a specific memory.  I remember listening to Feel Good Inc. on the car radio on the  way home from a long day and sleeping in the back seat  The author recalls listening to “Feel Good Inc.” on the car radio while drifting to sleep in the back seat after a long day.  This memory shows how simple moments, paired with music, can become comforting and lasting memories.

  Prompt:  Write about the best gift you have received.  The best gift I got was my first ever console because it was the only costly gift I had gotten at the time, and I played that console so many times, and the amount of memories I made was astronomical. The author describes receiving their first console as the best gift because it was expensive, meaningful, and created countless lasting memories. This experience shows that the true value of a gift comes from the joy and memories it creates, not just its price.

  Prompt: Thanksgiving is a time for giving thanks and spending time with family over a nice dinner.  Write about your most unforgettable meal. My most unforgettable meal was I went to my cousin's house  for Thanksgiving . I remember sitting with my family, enjoying all the food, and laughing together. What made it unforgettable wasn’t just the meal, but the warmth, love, and fun we shared, which made me feel truly grateful. My most unforgettable meal was special because I shared food, laughter, and love with my family, which made me feel really grateful.

As Celie’s world expands in these letters, she begins noticing new things about the people in her life. Write about a moment when you suddenly noticed something funny, shocking, or unexpected about someone you see every day (a family member, a classmate, or even a teacher). How did that new discovery change the way you saw them? One of my friends got a weird and wacky hairstyle. I found it hilarious, and now I see them as irresponsible, but they have enough confidence to have that bad hairstyle One of my friends got a weird and wacky hairstyle that I found really funny. Seeing their hairstyle made me realize they are confident and bold, even if it seems a little irresponsible. 

  Prompt: These letters show how Celie learns from the people around her, even in small ways. Think of someone in your life who influences you in a positive, everyday way: a friend, relative, teacher, or teammate. Write about what you’ve learned from them and how their influence shows up in your daily life. Someone who influences me in a positive way is my grandpa . From them, I’ve learned to be more patient and not give up when things get stressful. I talked about someone who helps me stay patient and positive every day.
